He was whelped at Shady Nook in May/2015, and
now lives in Ohio with Todd & Tricia.
Tricia emailed us to say that he’s doing great…
“I can’t send an email
without a current picture of our little boy.
He is doing great and has picked up a great new habit of letting us sleep in on
the weekends (many times we have to get him up at 8:30). He is always
smiling!”
How
did you get him to sleep that late ??

Sindee & Dale,
This
is Toby and my son just before the holidays! I can’t tell you how much he means
to us. We love him!! When I got the call from you that there was a puppy
for me, you said he was very vocal. At the time I didn’t know what that meant
or how you knew that, since he was brand new. Well, you are so right, it’s not
that he barks too much, yes, he does bark. He talks to me, making
sounds,all the time. I’ve gotten to understand some of what he says, not to
worry he doesn’t give up, he makes sure I get it eventually, hungry, thirsty,
wants go out, wants a toy or a treat Our last scottie would ring a bell to let
us know she wanted to go in or out, not Toby, he wants no part of the bell,he
tells me when its time to go out or come in! i just can’t get over that you
could tell that right off! Toby was whelped on April 15,2015.

to us from Louisiana to get Sophie. Sounds like she is doing very well !!!
“We
are so pleased with Sophie. She is so entertaining and causes us to laugh
a lot. She will be 12 weeks old tomorrow. Her weight today at her
vet visit was 6.9 pounds. She has the most wonderful Scottie ears-they
have never drooped at all, stay upright all the time. We are teaching her
to sit and walk with a leash, etc. She is beautiful and healthy and
intelligent-loves her rawhide bones.

whatsoever! They have been a blessing and continue to give us great joy
everyday."

Shady Nook Scotties. Duncan was whelped in July/2009 - unfortunately, his original owner passed away and the family
brought Duncan back to Shady Nook. Kayann opened her heart and her home to take Duncan in.
Fia was whelped in June/2009, and has lived with Kayann
since she was 8wks old.....

GUS left Shady Nook the weekend of Jan 7, 2012. He was whelped Nov 7, 2011,
out of Kelsey x Silky. Mary reports that his initial vet visit was great, and he is a funny little guy.....

"The stone Scottie is Hamish. She tried for 2 days to get him to play with her, then
got fed up and bit him on the nose. Now she goes and lies down beside him sometimes."

the movie and slept like a rock thru the whole thing !! Maggie was whelped 06/13/2011, out of Tatiana x Boris.

ever had a Scottie knows this look.... and that it usually comes after some sort of trouble. Max lives in
Illinois with Joan and her family. Joan reports that Max "thinks he's the boss"..... We've got news for

said "that he is one of the smartest dogs she's ever trained. Stubborn, but smart !"... He's shown here after

This is a typical story we get about a Shady Nook Scottie !!!
I've got to tell you the latest with Larkin.
On the far side of my house is a muddy area that Larkin loves to go around and dig and play-makes him very stinky. Anyway,
I tried to barricade the way that he goes, but being a Scottie, of course, he just bulldozes through. I asked my husband
to put up a gate to keep Mr. Larkin from going back there. Mike put the gate up Saturday and when he finished the job,
he asked me to come out and look at it, which I walked out on the deck with Lark at my heels. He took off running for
the mud and stopped a few inches from the gate. He looked up, down, left, right, then up, down, left and right again.
Then he turned to my husband and did a big "GRRRRRR!" at Mike. That smart thing, just knew that his daddy was the bad
guy for putting up the gate to keep him out! LOL!!!!
